Code of Conduct
All participants, mentors, and partners are expected to conduct themselves professionally throughout the Procon internship simulation and on all affiliated platforms. Our primary goal is to maintain a safe, respectful, and productive environment for all engineers.
01. Expected Behavior
We expect all members of the Procon community to:
- Be Respectful: Treat everyone with empathy and respect. Constructive feedback is encouraged, but personal attacks or dismissive language will not be tolerated.
- Be Professional: Maintain a high standard of professional communication across all channels (e.g., Discord, GitHub, email).
- Be Honest: Ensure all work submitted is your own. Acknowledge and properly attribute any third-party code or tools used.
- Be Collaborative: Help foster a supportive environment by sharing knowledge and assisting peers where appropriate, without violating independent project constraints.
02. Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and will lead to immediate disqualification and removal from the platform:
- Harassment & Discrimination: Any form of harassment, discrimination, or abusive communication directed at our team, mentors, or other participants based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, or religion.
- Unauthorized Access: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to platform systems, databases, or other candidates' submissions or accounts.
- Fraudulent Information: Providing false, misleading, or fabricated information during registration, submission, or review processes.
- Plagiarism: Submitting copied, heavily duplicated, or undisclosed AI-generated code as your own original work.
- Confidentiality Breach: Sharing confidential project briefs, proprietary assessment rubrics, or internal platform content with third parties or public forums.
03. Enforcement & Reporting
If you experience or witness any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately to our team. All reports will be handled confidentially.
Procon reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate a candidate's participation without a refund if they are found in violation of these guidelines. Decisions made by the Procon team regarding Code of Conduct violations are final.
